Crocs: yay! or nay?
Despite the reputation for comfort, I haven't yet been sucked into the whole Crocs phenomenon. That is, until my coworker showed up today wearing these silver ones:
Now I think I want some. What do you think? I've never even tried them on before. Are they as comfy as they say they are? Do they get sweaty or stinky? Help me decide if I should jump on the bandwagon!

no. don't do it. please. no more crocs. i admit, they are appealing in that "it's so ugly it's cute" kind of way. and the silver is very tempting, and possibly appropriate for halloween if you go as the Tin Man/Person. but the sooner people stop buying crocs, the sooner the rest of croc owners might understand that the trend is over.

Until I saw the silver ones, I thought they were just ugly - not even ugly-cute. Just ugly. But the silver... the silver...
You know what? They are super comfy. I tried on a pair, just to see what they'd be like, thinking they would be better than bare feet for running around in creekbeds (not really something I do that often, but whatever.) And they do seem properly aerated to prevent sweaty/stinky. Yet I didn't buy them. I felt (perhaps somewhat inexplicably) like a hospital patient in them.
I did buy a pair a couple of years ago. They are now now pretty worn out from wearing them for those all day on the feet days...like walking around fair grounds, flee markets, in the yard and the like. They aren't pretty, but they sure are comfy and can be worn in water, which is a functional plus.
