Favorite Things Friday.
For those of you who know me, this is kind of a "Duh!" Favorite Things Friday. I've talked about Keen Shoes before. Yes, over and over and over. But part of being a Keen fanatic is evangelism, so I'm taking this opportunity to spread the word. Yes, again.
Among the highlights of Keen's fall line are new colors of Keen Seattles. Honestly, if I had to limit myself to one and only one type of shoe, this would be the winner. I discovered Keen Seattles in, appropriately enough, Seattle, at the fabulous fantabulous Re-Soul in fabulous fantabulous Ballard. I was stumbling down the street after a long day of traveling in Giraudons, suffering from a nucleated callus (don't ask, just trust me, it's freaking painful!), en route to Hattie's Hat for some chicken-fried chicken. Suddenly, there they were - Keen Seattles! They looked comfy - they were comfy - two pairs came home with me, and within a week I was pain-free.
So I call them my orthopedic shoes, but I think they're cute, too. I've got three pairs, in garnet, carmelite, and black. And I'm planning to add the two new fall colors to my collection:
Online Shoes seems to have the best prices - I'm usually a Zappos girl, but when my spending freeze ends - soon, soon! - I'm going to give Online a try.

I recently ordered from Onlineshoes.com. My order didn't arrive as quickly as Zappos delivers, but the overall customer service was good. I returned my shoes and didn't encounter any frustrations.
Thanks for being so enthusastic about Keens, I tried on one of the open-toe pairs and my freakishly long toes poked right through so I have not tried any of their shoes on since, but I'll give the closed toe variety another chance.
Good to know - thanks! One of the quirky things about Keens is their inconsistent sizing, so returning/exchanging is quite the possibility.
You know - the long-toe thing seems to be a problem for some people when they try on Keens. Several of the Zappos reviews address this - so you're not alone! Me, I've got stubby toes to go with my stubby feet (to go with the rest of my stubby body) - Keens are pretty much shaped exactly like my feet.
