New at Zappos from Camper - possibly the cutest shoe they've ever made! I probably won't be getting these, because I know from past experience that this Camper style is too narrow and too flat for me. If I had unlimited funds, though, I'd probably click right here and buy them right now, just to admire the cuteness in person. I mean, how can you not smile when looking at a pair of Mary Janes embellished with a clothesline? Too, too cute.
I am sooooo in love with the red Dansko Jade mary janes I picked up on Ebay recently. So much so, in fact, that I bid on another pair, in black, and won!
Now, of course, I'm on a quest to find the elusive caramel and blue versions. Hey kids! Collect all four!
Why they ever stopped manufacturing this style is beyond me. This truly is the perfect shoe.
I just scored these on Ebay and I can't wait for them to arrive! They're discontinued Dansko Jades, and I've wanted a pair for, like, ever.
My love for Camper Shoes runs hot and cold - every now and then, they come out with a style that I think is so fantastic that I have to spring for it, full price and all.
This may be one of those styles.
If you were no fun at all, you could argue that they are too similar to last year's full price Camper purchase. But being fun-loving, shoe-loving folks, you wouldn't do that, would you?
I didn't think so.
I love my Dansko clogs, but I've had bad luck with Dansko's non-clog-style shoes. They never seem to fit right.
Nonetheless, I've got high hopes for Dansko's new Giselle Mary Janes from their Chelsea collection. They come in a bazillion colors, have a low heel and a shock-absorbing footbed, and an odor- and moisture-resistant leather lining. Of course, I'm partial to the red - er, cayenne - and black.
Not long ago, I picked up a pair of Earth Shoes for a song. I took them home, walked around in them, but found they made this awful, rude-sounding suction-y sound with every step. I chucked 'em in the back of the closet and thought I'd put them on Ebay.
While I love socks, in Southern California I wear them for maybe two weeks out of every year, tops. But this past weekend - duh! - it occurred to me to try these shoes with sock liners. And voila - no more rude sounds! I've been wearing them for the past three days and loving every minute of it.
I am, of course, obsessed now and want a pair in every color. Again, Online Shoes seems to have the best prices, and sometime soon I hope to pick up a pair of the same style in Rosso and in Coffee.
From looking over the reviews on Zappos, people seem to have a love 'em or hate 'em relationship with Earth Shoes. Moreover, it seems to be style-dependent. But for this Mary Jane girl, it's definitely a love 'em relationship with the Solar style.
